Biography of Sir Isaac Newton
Sir Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643 in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire,England. His father died three months before his birth. When
Newton was three years old, his mother remarried and leave Newton to his
grandmother. Since the age of 12 until 17 years, Newton school in "The King's
School". His family issued a Newton from school by reason just to be a farmer, but Newton didn’t like his new job, and the headmaster of "The King's School" convince her mother to send back Newton in
school until graduation.
In June 1661, Newton received at the Cambridge University as a sizar. At that time, the doctrine is based on the teachings of Aristotle, but Newton preferred to choose to read modern ideas such as Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler.
Then after he got his academic title, he began to
discover the invention such as: discovered the binomial theorem,
developed a mathematical theory, developed the optic’s theory, develop the law of gravity, find a Newton’s method, classify
the cubic curve dan investigate the light’s
refraction. Then, he got his "Lucasian Professor of Mathematics" and started teaching at Cambridge University.
Sir Isaac Newton died on
March 31, 1727, at the age of 84 years. His book "Philosophiae Naturalis PrincipiaMathematica" became an
influential book on the history of science.
